Ambrose checks in!

Two Planet X athletes came up with some late season fire to finish the year off.  After coming off a 5th place at the ITU Long Distance Worlds in Perth last month, Ambrose, the White Shark backed up with another 5th at IM Arizona last weekend.  Ambrose came off the bike in good form and ran into 3rd place, chasing the leaders hard.  He suffered the last 10 miles but held on strong to the line.  If you want to find him now, the best bet is to have a late night in Sydney and scope the bars and clubs.  Here is his latest update:

hey mate, so you want a few 'Ambrose' coments for IM Arizona.
Well the race went well. placed myself nicely in the swim with the leaders/ road extra carefully on the bike, then tried to hold 6min mile pace for the marathon, but had a rough patch on the last miles of the marathon and blew out my time abit.
But what makes this extra special, the NIGHT of the actual race day, i went out and met a lovely lady. Good effort after over 8hrs of racing and hardly any sleep :)

Rene Goehler, after a tough year of injury and illness came back to finish the season on a solid note also at IMAZ coming home 10 minutes or so behind the Ambrose for a solid 8th place finish.
